Louie’s Safety Hometown Kiosk Delivers Safety Messages And Interactive Activities Through Touch Screen Display

Louie's Safety Hometown can deliver a utility’s safety message without a company employee be being present. It is perfect for children’s museums, visitor centers mall displays, libraries, corporate headquarters lobbies, community festivals or just about any indoor public gathering.

Louie’s Safety Hometown is a freestanding kiosk featuring a bigger-than-life picture of Louie on the front graphic panel. The front of the kiosk includes a touch screen computer display. Behind is a lockable, ventilated box housing the monitor, computer processor and audio/auxiliary equipment. (See illustration at right.)

The 17 inch, flat, touch screen monitor has an expected life of 30,000 to 50,000 hours of continuous use.

The opening screen of the kiosk’s computer program pictures a series of graphics which direct visitors to various safety lessons. As these graphics are activated by touch, the program first plays a 30 second animated Louie the Lightning Bug® message explaining an electrical safety rule. Following the animation, visitors will be quizzed about each safety rule to ensure comprehension. The software will give a response if user’s answers are correct or not.

Louie’s Safety Hometown kiosk is an excellent vehicle for utility branding. Each page of the computer display will be customized with the sponsoring utility’s logo. Utility logos will also be prominently featured on the front graphic panel of each kiosk.

The display is mounted on casters allowing it to be moved easily. It is also designed to be moved to various locations. The dimensions are 6 feet tall by three feet wide.
